Batam camp

Okay. Back from Batam trip yesterday at around 2pm. Was super tired. Batam trip...to summarise, it was fun :)

First day:
Went to school at 6.30am. Then...the chers talk talk talk..etc, and we had one assigned deputy camp chief which was Mr Michael. (His voice sounds funny) Then..we set off to Harbourfront to take our ferry. When we reach Batam...first activity is pitch tent. It was raining then, so need to wear poncho and walk from the waterfront centre to the sandpit lol. After pitching of tents, did field cooking. My group maggie sucked at first as we only put 1 packet of seasoning for 2 packets of maggie, so it was way so bland. But then, the 2nd trial, it tastes delicious :) After field cooking, went up to the rooftop to do some ice breaker activity? After that...went to Nagoya hill to settle for dinner and shopping! :D The class was divided into 4 groups. My group consist of ppl who is crazy over CHEWING GUMS! Which is.. Benjamin, Jia Wei, Jun Xuan, Jonathan, Zhi Yu, Voon Kit, Me, Sherilyn, Kimberly and Hong Hui. Plus 1 trainer (Michael). Let's talk abt Nagoya hill. We wanted to eat A&W as it is not available in S'pore, but sadly, its pack with other Haisians so we went to eat KFC instead. Their KFC comes with rice // new. Voon Kit cnt finish his rice so he packed 1 back, haha, he look like uncle. Lol. After we settled our dinner, we walked around the mall, went past Zhi Yu's fav store which sells lingerines! Haha. We then went to a store which looks like bookshop, but it sells rubberbands, combs, etc. Jonathan went crazy. Haha. He tried on to green, pink sunglasses and he look damn gay and funny. Haha :D After the store, went to a departmental store (forgot wat's called). Zhi Yu shouted out loud that he wanna buy underwears! Hahaha. (This is the crazy part) We went to the supermarket called Hypermart. We went to the chewing gums corner and went crazy (esp the boys). Then, went to the drink section and bought mineral waters :) Went to the cashier and got our receipt. Voon Kit bought a total of 14 packets of chewing gums! That's like so pro. Jonathan then went around 'showing off' the receipt and everyone was like shocked to see how mad we are over chewing gums :p After Nagoya hill, went back to Harris Resort, then went to a room and the trainers taught us a song (If we hold on tgt). Trainer Ahmad is so funny. Haha.

Second day:
Woke up at 4.30 (Batam time) cuz Hong Hui set her alarm clock 1 hr earlier. Haha. But nvm. Me and Alecia went back to sleep again. :p Woke up at 5.30 (Batam time). Bath, then went down to the assemble area. we had buffet breakfast! :) WohoO! I sat with Pei Zhen, Fionn, Sherilyn, Chloe, Mag, Samantha and 1 more. Trainer Adi came and Trainer Wing. Haha, they're real nice :) The girls went to take cereal. Samantha and Chloe came back with 1 full bowl of ko ko crunch and 1 bowl of milk! Wa seh...that's so much. Samantha made 16 sampans for 1E1 girls in the milk bowl. Haha. After breakfast, assembled agn at the Sandpit and we sat off for the jungle trekking. It was damn muddy and we had to cross over endless muds and we crossed 2 rivers :) On the way back, we saw Milton's girlfriend the goat! Omg...its so cute! :D Then...further up, we saw Guo Yao's relative, the monkeys! Melissa was laughing like mad at that time. Haha. Then...we had rafting lol. It was...ok..so-so. After those 2 activities, went back to hotel to have a wash-up as we were all filty. Wore camp t-shirt then we sat off to the orphanage. As there was not enough paint brush, we had to use hand gloves to paint! Woa...that's a new experience. Painting with hands. :) It was fun. After painting, we had time to go do our own stuffs, so we started playing with stones. Lol. fun! :D And..tada! Out came Melissa's new goat husband which is Milton! (FYi, they both eat grasses)..hehe. Oh! Melissa, Emily, Mag and Christina made a grave, or tombstone using the sands and stones. They also had their so called 'Holy stone'. It was nice :) We also played a little with the orphans and they were like so cheerful. Its so brave to be so happily living even though without their parents. Evening time, we went back to the resort and we had out dinner and dance. We heard Mr Peter Low sing!!! Omg, that's like so unexpected. He is singing! Omg...but luckily, nothing broke. :p Dinner and dance was super nice! :) Miss Lee was dancing the YMCA dance. Pei Zhen too. Its nice :) After Dinner and Dance, was Rest and Relax. The bowling area was filled with people so in the end, we just roam around dunno go where. In the end, settled down in the hotel room and just watched tv.

Third day:
Woke up, wash up and then assembled again at the sandpit there. Then had breakfast and went back to hotel to take our bags and get ready to check out. Walked to the waterfront centre again and took ferry back. Me and Samantha laughed like mad because of Melissa. (Guess i wun say). Hehe. Reached Harbourfront, passed the immigration centre and sat outside. Chloe was smsing someone name Smallie... -.- Wonder who's it. Then we waited till everyone was out then we took bus back to Hai Sing. Haiz. Sad. After that, Batam Trip officially ended :(
